We encourage you to enjoy your escape in the garden parish of Ocho Rios and get your feet wet at one of Ocho Rios' many beaches. However before getting wet your first stop will have you going on an adventure in the underworld called the Green Grotto Caves.
The Green Grotto known at various times as the Runaway Bay Caves, Cave Hall Caves, Discovery Bay Caves, Dry Harbour Caves, Hopewell Caves, Rum Caves and Dairy Caves, are among Jamaica's most prominent natural attractions. They are of international repute and have been seeing visitors since the 18th century.

Your guide will explain the rich history of the caves, telling the story of the people who have used the caves for various purposes over the years. The discovery of cave paintings, tools and fragments of pottery indicate that the original inhabitants of the caves were the Taino Indians who would have used the caves for shelter.

The next know inhabitants were the Spanish who, at the time of the British invasion of Jamaica (in 1655), hid in the caves to avoid capture. There is an underground tunnel which links the caves to the sand at Runaway bay. It is believed that the Spanish used the tunnel in their attempt escape the Island and flee to Cuba. Runaway slaves have also used the caves to hide from their former masters. During World War 2, Rum barrels were stored here for safe keeping by the Jamaican Government.

Enjoy the tour and immerse yourself in the rich history and the mystery that is know as the Green Grotto.

From the Green Grotto Caves, make way to the town of Ocho Rios, where you will spend the next 2 - 3 hours as you like. Descend upon the Beach - swimming in the Caribbean Sea, lounging on the white-sand beach or taking part in some of the activities on offer. If you just want to relax, you can rent a beach chair  to place under the shade (at own expense) on the manicured beach.

When you’re hungry, just head to the Beach Snack Bar or near by restaurant such as KFC to purchase a meal or drinks (own expense). You’ll find well-kept changing rooms, showers and bathrooms at the beach to refresh yourself.

You will made your way back to Montego Bay in comfort with a final stop for a candle-lit evening tour of the Rose Hall Great House, a must see attraction in Montego Bay. Your guided exploration of the former home of Jamaica’s White Witch, Annie Palmer, includes captivating and chilling stories of love, murder and mystery skillfully told by knowledgeable guides. You’re sure to feel goose bumps as these eerie tales come to life in this grand estate, where ghost sightings have been reported over the years. Tours also give historic insight into this grandest of Jamaican great houses, now beautifully restored with 18th-century décor and antiques.

To conclude this fascinating adventure, you can visit the dungeon, now transformed into a tavern called Annie’s Pub. Many visitors find that the famous rum cocktail, known as “Witches Brew” helps banish the spirits of ghosts or black magic they sense still lingering in the mansion.

Enjoy a short but relaxing ride to your drop off location to conclude your day.
